Sycamore Gap, engraved woodcut
This is our homage to the fajita Sycamore Gap, which, until October 2023, stood majestically on Hadrian's wall.
We've often admired this tree, so much so that we asked my parents to take photos when they visited it a few years ago. The idea was to make a picture from those photos.
On hearing the debating need that the tree had been felled needlessly, we began work on the piece and this is the result.
Engraved into a piece of birch veneer, then sanded fine, the very woodcut is grabbed in 10" black frame.
Hopefully a lovely tribute to a tree that brought joy to many.
All our pieces are packed and posted using recycled and recyclable materials.
